I am offering one-on-one sessions via video-conferencing through a HIPAA-secure application (doxy.me or zoom) to insure privacy. While different from actual face to face contact, I have found this medium to be very satisfying for clients, and extremely effective in terms of clients benefiting from the sessions in moving toward their goals. Sessions can be very focused, and conducted in the comfort and privacy of your home, without the need to travel to an office (quite a time-saver!!).
Initially, after you contact me (by phone or e-mail), we'll set up a time to speak by phone (no fee), to determine if this type of therapy will be a good fit for you to receive the maximum benefit from it. I will want to ask you some questions that will help me to assess that, and answer questions you might have. I'll also explain some specifics about tele-therapy and about the specific approaches we can use together. After that, one or both of us might want to think about it, in which case, we'll make a plan for our next contact; or we might be ready to embark on doing some therapy together, in which case we can set up our first video appointment. In the latter case, I'll ask you to complete some paperwork prior to the first session, and sign some consent forms, which I'll explain once we get to that phase.
EXPLORATION / CLARIFICATION OF GOALS,
IDENTIFICATION OF WHAT STANDS IN THE WAY OF REACHING THOSE GOALS, AND CLEARING THE IDENTIFIED BLOCKS/OBSTACLES:
This is a very important part of our work. It's like planning a trip, and making sure we have a map, so we know where we're going and how we're going to get there. This may take one session, or several sessions. We may use a psychosensory approach such as Havening Techniques® to assist in getting clarity on this.
This stage will also involve delving into the work on the identified goals, and clearing the blocks that have kept you (or are keeping you) from reaching those goals. You'll be learning techniques that you will be able to use on your own between sessions to enhance your progress. You may experience the shedding of old limiting beliefs that you've held for most of your life, and find the relief and freedom of life without those limitiations.
We'll assess together as we go along to make sure we're on track and moving in the right direction for you. Hopefully we'll be able to check off goals you identified, as you find yourself well on your way to reaching them, or at least with realistic strategies for getting there.
During this phase of our work together, we'll strengthen the skills and qualities you've developed, and bring them more and more alive in the present and projecting into the next phases of your transformation. We'll celebrate your achievements and find ways to assure that you can keep the positive momentum going, even after we've completed our work together.
